Work In Progress…!

So it is Wednesday and due to NaNoWriMo there is no challenge this time. So I thought this up. And I am not sure it will work. It is  a work in progress. Experimental writing.

Work in Progress…

A story of an artist who created the best art ever. He tried to inspire and have people think. That little thought grew in my head. Into hopefully a nice short story about using our minds and hearts better.

I am an artist, a sculpture, painter, writer, poet and even an occasional philosopher. For you I have in mind the best ever man-made piece of art that will blow every expectation away. Every one will be inspired, I hope.

That was my the start of my letter to the local council, hoping I will get selected as the artist who gets the spot in the middle of town. Where he can build his dream.
Now in order to understand I will tell you this idea  that will hopefully unlock all creativity of the human mind and all its imagination.

The explanation is as follows.

I want to build a cube with sides of at least 20 feet. A simple wooden cube, with a single door locked with big bolts and locks and no windows.
Around it I want to paint “Work in progress”. Even have some of that yellow and black ribbon with the same text wrapped around All surrounded by a small fence about 3 feet high and a six feet from the cube. Signs saying “Danger” and again “Work in progress”. On the little fences, on all sides a small tablet in the middle and on corners with the following:

Here I work on the biggest and the best ever piece of art this town will ever have known. It will unlock your imagination and have you think about this town and its history and future. This is for you the people and hopefully the inspiration to make it even bigger. And see a future build right here, with the help of you all. So think about you and your town and see it being build.

Now I have been given the job and started with a big smile and huge expectations. Multiple papers were there to interview me. People watching dancing on the music played. While I build the cube, the fence and painted everything.

A paper wrote;; A work in progress. It will be the centre point of this town and community. It has started with the artist creating a big cube building and fence. We all wonder what it will be. It is for this town he is creating it. It piece that connects the past with the future right here and there. We all know this town as a rich past, and we do want an even richer future. So for that we ask you the readers; What do you think he is building? Send us your ideas and we will compile a top 20 and post in next week paper.
Might he be using wood, or stone. chissle or just carve. Marble would be nice, but a metal would be future like. Have any ideas just share it with us.

There s no better compliment than that as an artist, when newspapers make comments like these.

Now there is a thought about it and as said not sure it will work. But an imaginary mind would have thought up hundreds of things, due to suggestive words written.  Or even how this story will continue. Imagine this in your town.
