Monday Moaning Changing Thoughts
With all my Monday moaning people think I just rant and rave to change the world. But that isn’t true. I do not need to change the world. It is great as it is. Now when you read this it is hard to believe after all those moaning I done. And I do not blame you for thinking as such. But why change what is good.
For years we have been trying to change the world by inventing new stuff. Making life easier not necessarily better as that is the biggest misconception. As we argue the toss over what we have and only want better stuff. Better things in our hand to make life easier. We made the world to what it is today. So why are we so unhappy about it.
Why do we talk about changing the world? Haven’t we changed enough already. Are we not at the brink of a heated up planet, with less animals. More droughts or more rain, never will it be right. Somehow the world is retaliating to our destructive nature, except we call it progress and making the world a better place. But it is never enough, we always complain.
So I rant and moan and rave every Monday for that purpose. It is simply because I can. But it is not to change the world, I could argue it maybe is because I do want to save it and keep it safe.
I was asked once if I would change the news. Why the news you may ask, what does that have to do with changing or saving the world? My answer was a simple one. I do not need to change the news; I can turn it off if I do not like it. It shows death and destruction in other countries and we all go: it is far from my bed, I got it good here.
That is true, I got it good here, I do not hear all that death and destruction all the time. But it is also happening in my own backyard. At our neighbours even, though that we do not see or that we rather exclude from knowing or listening to. Each and every one of us has the same idea, we need to change the world. We all say it but none of us know how.
We keep inventing new weapons like the one that shot down the MH17 with the Dutch and Australian people in it. If we so want to change the world why do we still invent weapons, can we still argue it is better for the world or in the best interest.
No. Again it is a simple no for an answer. Back to the news and why it is correlated to changing the world in the long run. I will try and explain why I do not need to change it.
The news is a medium that shows what is wrong in the world. See how it said, in and not with. The news shows what needs changing, but the misconception starts with our eyes.
We see a plane shot down, instantly we think we need more safety better radar or weapons that cannot attack a civilian plane. We think in items, things, gadgets. See a pattern with who we try to change the world again.
Endless wars over religion or a piece of land, and for what. It al leads us to thinking in terms of things, land, border, fences, weapons and god knows what you can come up with in your attempt to change the world.
No need to stop the news or take it off the television and or radio. No need for violating the freedom of speech. No need to be all hush-hush and cover everything up. No need to be censoring or even deleting everything.
That last part is the worst of all of them.
We cannot change the world with just inventing new weapons, or gadgets that help us make our life easier. We need to start looking at ourselves and how we look, listen and read the news. We need to see that it isn’t about changing weapons or radar or new techniques that help us predict a earthquake. We do not need more pollution in our hands. We need to get the pollution out of our head.
That plane that got shot down Is not because we invented a weapon or forgot to implant a safety device so that it could not shoot down a civilian plane. It was because of a dumb human pushing a button because he believes, or so I think, he wants to be Russian.
He had two choices with that. One would be to fight for it in your own country and kill people. Or simply walk across the border and ask for Russian citizen ship.
Do you see where I am getting at?
Man with a weapon is being held responsible on how he uses a weapon. The weapon manufacturer is clear of any blame when you shoot a person. Does this mean we need better weapons to prevent innocent people getting killed? After all it is the gun that kills
Does that help you in any way?
A car is by law a murder weapon on four wheels. Again a driver is held accountable for any deaths and or accidents. So we invent a Google car that drive it self and use invasive manoeuvres because it is the car that kills.
Is this how we should change the world by changing the things we use? By altering what we have invented before.
STOP WANTING TO CHANGE THE WORLD.
START CHANGING HOW YOU THINK AND WHAT YOU DO.
In the end it is how we use that weapon, and how we drive that car. We can push a button, pull a trigger or you can choose not to. We can drive fast irresponsible or take responsibility for yourself and drive safe for everyone’s sake. You are not alone out there show some god damn respect to those living around you.
We need to change. We need to change how we see the news. Why do they still choose to fight over there in Gaza. Why did he push that button? Why do we not change and respect the world more as it is.
There is no need to change the world. The change we need is in ourselves. Being less selfish, stop being so full of ourselves or what we believe in.
We the people need to change and start using our brain again to think what is more important.
Live and let live, respect the differences, we all know it so well, we all talk about it. It is time to act to those words.
