Monday Moaning Ancient Dispute
And I’m not even sure what I wanted to rant about. What thoughts I wanted to provoke. There is so much going on in the world. We have groups opposing everything these days. Animal rights movements to make sure animals get rights to. Some becoming even more extreme than others and even preach veganism. We have religious groups standing up against science movements. Debating what came first, or how what was formed.
And though it is wonderful to see we can oppose and rant like I do. Very little do we see answers or ideas being created to do it better?
It makes me wonder where we are going for. Should we just stop creating medicines because we should not test on animals? Should we test on people? Pretty sure we will get people opposing that to. So what should we do? How far should we go?
We might have gone a long way and sure we might need different answers and ways to fulfil our so greedy needs. And yes, I said greedy needs.
It is strange how things that seem so simple are all connected to each other, politics, religion and science. But the one thing in our way is our human nature, whatever that may be. Saying so because we do not know what formed our consciousness and our way of thinking. Why do we do the things we do. When did we start to be greedy?
If by any change we believe in the theory of evolution from the man named, Charles Darwin, the following would have happened. We live in cages like animals the strongest survives. We do so in packs as we knew we would be stronger that way. Kill what was needed nothing more. Strangely enough that is not greedy at all, that is like a lion eating what is needed, hunt again when in need of food. The elder wisest or strongest deciding what was best for the people in their pack.
When did we start fighting amongst each other? When did we give up animal rights?
Over time we developed into what we are now. Killing more than we need, wasting more than we need and wanting more than we need. It makes one wonder where we went wrong? Now we do not have the wisest or strongest deciding what is best for us, but the richest and most cunning what is best for them. And that is me being very blunt.
Looking at it from this simple angle already shows how much we changed into greedy animals instead of strong animals or even wise animals. Us being obsessed with how to live longer and can claim more stuff, without even a thought to other people or living beings around us.
It is very simple to say stop animal testing as some scientists have done with colon cancer. We can grow intestines it just takes weeks before we can determine what cocktail of meds work. That said it does mean no more new medicines can be made or tested. Because though we can create a medicine attacking the cancer we cannot test what it would do on a person all together?
This is a short and simple conclusion, but even the simplest of answer may hold up to an extreme difficult question.
Now what if we take it from another angle? That being the religious one, that a God created us and the earth. Our greed started with someone eating an apple. Giving us a sense of shame and believing we can be as smart as God. But one thing we might have been made with. And that would be greed. Since we wanted to be like our fathers and know it all just the same. Human nature as it was may not have been so innocent. From day one we were seduced to become immortal and we wanted it.
Here we see men being ruled by religion and also strength, though the last is complicated by greed. Kings afraid to be over powered by a king that is being born? Kings afraid to be killed by what they do not understand having to give up there throne. People not wanting to lose what they have and willing to do anything to keep it. Wars to proof who was better, or just a completion showing of. Politics infused with religion and already showing signs of greed from so early on.
For animal activists it could be seen as the best answer, not a word about animals except those lams for dinner. Very little about other animals except for when they were created. Pork would be bad, though I never read the true reason? Very little about animal killing, but showing of our despicable look on those who were ill, and how inhumane we treated them. Locking them up, banishing them to other parts of the country.
Again it may be very short sighted, but it is there. Our greedy human nature.
Somewhere we went wrong and desire more than we can handle. More than we truly need. As opposing groups may be yelling stop. They should also come up with an alternative. We do not want to be around sick people so we want cures and medicines.
My rant is because of those screams. And somewhere lays an answer. Should we follow one or can we combine both. Should we stop or continue on a smaller scale?
When it comes to animal rights, or ethical questions, religious differences, and nature overall? Should we not find a better way to combine the three major contributing thoughts without thinking who is better?
On what grounds should we use our beliefs as proof of being right. Are we even right? Can we truly say that what is written down is true?
I need to give it some more thoughts, and hope one day we can look back and say we done the right thing for once putting greed and lust for power aside.
