Monday Moaning: Gun Control!
More and more through out the years we hear more and more about people getting shot. School kids who end up shooting at their own classmates where we all stand watching with a stiff perplex face wondering what went through his mind.
We seen people open fire in shopping malls because of a belief or some who might have had an episode within their mental disorder for which they had treatment.
Or maybe it was the police brutalities that more often reach our eyes and ears. Where they shoot first ask questions later if every eyewitness has it right. No, I am not saying they are wrong, I just happen to know that a shock or influence from earlier reports can make you bias or forget. Even make up things that may have never happened.
Beside all that there is another group who does it because they are radical believers. Extremists we call them. Who shoot to kill to eradicate the so called none believers or opposing people. This happens also in countries with a what we like to address as a dictator and to think they exist in countries we have seen as normal.
There is a clear reason I chose the title as it is. As there are more than one meaning to it. It most likely has been also the underlining thought for the one who came up with the this law.
Though like many weapons guns this to is a double edged sword.
As one is issued to protect a family for example who is going to protect us from that family. Soon as a gun comes in to play it is not only used for defence. We should at least acknowledge that ever weapon ever made was to attack.
It started on animals until a smart ass started using it on human.
Clearly it is a tool to make one stronger or more fearful. And as we still like to think, that it is the law of the strongest.
Does that mean those who holds the best weapon or strongest weapon. This law just keeps this weapons race going further and further.
Gun control.
There are voices that one needs to be able to protect themselves against attackers. And sure I agree we need some way of protection but should that also be something that can easily be used to kill an innocent.
Truth is there will be many voices who have been stabbed, raped, shot, attacked, and even robbed from their own home who wished to have had a weapon of some sort to rappel the situation. What if they already showed up with a weapon of themselves. And I guess any moment one can defend themselves is better to not have defended at all.
New laws that they try to implement in for example the US is that children who have a permit to own a gun can also carry a gun to school. Just an assumption from my silly brain, but what if one of them goes a little overboard and just starts shooting because he is jealous at a guy that talks to his girl.
These things may seem far fetched yet at school around the world knife fights are happening more often as well. Most the time in a simple fight over a girl. Or even as simple as name calling back and forth. And though these are only 14 years old women and men what would happen if they were 18 and carrying a gun.
I do think this is asking for trouble.
Granted, this ball has only recently been thrown up but not thought through.
Enabling youngsters to carry instead of burying the hatchets in a grave. Stop the bullying and maybe just maybe address the adult who hold on to old-fashioned statements and thoughts.
In the end it is just all hatred spread. Racism should be banished, parents need to take responsibility to teach their children the values of life.
Okay I think I am kind of drifting of the subject, and yet there might well be a bit of truth I it.
Gun control.
I have once said in a thought: A bullet doesn’t deserve a life!
Neither a gun or bullet should exist or take a life. In the end it is our hands that control the outcome. We pull the trigger to stamp the metal to create the bullet. We pull the trigger to send it flying. We can control the outcome by never beginning.
If it is for protection? Than we have made many mistakes for we should never have a reason to attack.
What makes us grab a woman and beat her half to death? For what reason. She was dressed to sexy? She winked at you?
We control the outcome by never starting to assume.
How is that we need to rob a store? Or kill for a buck or ten and a cup of coffee half spilled?
Should we not wonder how we got this far? If we can control the outcome why are we not changing it for the better.
Gun control? DO we need it? Or do we need to be held responsible for the way we control the gun.
Just a rant by the Crow. Who is amazed by the short sights we uphold to justify our wrongs. But there you have it just a thought on this Monday Moaning. Guess the bullet is flying through the church.
Best Wishes
