Monday Moaning: Expert Opinions!
I am always in awe how news programs and sometimes even reality shows can get a hand on an expert to explain what MIGHT have happened. Basically they are in a show second guessing with little information to begin with.
This kind of judgement is pretty out of place in a world where we want facts and still have a love for live news where they can philosophy about a happening for an entire day. As new information seeps in other more clear pictures are made. To a point that it even seems that the expert on telly has found the cause before the investigators. Oh there is a word.
Why in the hell is the expert on telly and the expert investigator working his or her ass off? Something is amiss here and makes me wonder who the expert really is. True he might have done some studies, but should he not be out in the field and practising in his expertise.
How reliable is an expert talking about a train wreck. Even I can say the investigators have to do research and see if it was a human error or a mechanical/ system error. One does need a so called expert that clearly is getting overpaid to tell me these things. The extra value isn’t there but it looks cool and makes the program look smart. It may have been a lightning strike. This is in fact a topic going on today. And guess what?
The investigator and expert on the scene has already shared that information with us. This brings back memories about a moan I did on the fact we repeat everything till it is chewed up and buried like a cow does with grass. We keep coughing it up to chew some more on it with in a span of 3 minutes we hear 4 people tell the exact same thing.
Still and expert opinion is one that we take to heart and for TV it looks professional if you have one at your disposal for whatever grand disaster happens.
To cough up some old news. MHA17. We all seen the after math we all heard every countries expert have their say and come up with some explanation on what happened. It was all in conjuncture of the available information. And recently a plane on its way to Egypt vanished.
The first thing on everyone’s mind these days is terrorist attack. You can imagine just how it is engraved in our brain to have to think that before anything else. After that comes the many hypothesis we can come up with about the usual suspects. Human or mechanical failure.
This is but a start of a moan.
But we never hear of the expert when they made a mistake. Or it gets hidden and buried under a pile of paperwork until a reporter does his job to uncover the cover-up. This happens in the medical world for example. We all know this but never ask about it though, just like the news. We take it for what it is. An expert’s opinion.
On another hand we see that experts are learning and changing their story to accommodate the new information they recently learned. I think the health food addicts and doctors together with a dietician do a good job in that department. Always coming up with even better ways than the previous opinion.
Egg bad, egg good. And the newest hit might well be that we end up needing a little amount of animal fats in our diet.
No matter how we look at things, these things are happening without us questioning the value of the information.
These days we all have become experts. Or a better way to formulate this is that everyone has an opinion, including me. Son as the news arrives our brains are on overdrive and coming up with hypothesis and opinions on what might have happened. As if we were on the scene doing the investigator work. We are so obviously obsessed we want to know everything only to forget it at a later date.
A recent development is that we are more and more into wanting to know how a celebrity died. I am not sure why we want to know or the importance of that fact.
Yesterday a great man has lived its human time and transcended into the realm of unknown in a peaceful manner.
As the development has dictated an autopsy will be carried out. To determine cause of death. Now in some way I understand it can give peace of mind to the family as well as a shock if the result is not as wanted. Death does that either way, it never is what we the living wanted. But what does little joe me have to do with this. Why would this be important enough to tell me? Does it hold any information worth remembering?
Our mind works on an autopilot. The brain does not have to think as it gates all information relative, important or garbage fed through the media. Every opinion is given by experts we copy without question and call ourselves experts after.
It has become a weird occurrence in my eyes as I see more people calling upon the experts. To look smart and professional it is something that needs to be done. And at the same time we forget the real experts working hard and trying to find the reason for things happening. They are a dying breed if you ask me since all experts are personalities on TV preying on their information and get eaten alive.
My expert opinion.
Wait for the last letter is written down in a report and read it. That is if we can read it. Not everything needs to be explained to us Joes Mundanes. I get we want more transparency when it involves information. I get we want to know what banks are doing with our money.
It never would have been an issue if we kept being honest and stopped being greedy for money or information. Just an opinion from a Ranting Crow
PS. Yes I am back with aches all over. Legs muscles so tight I was hardly able to stand up this weekend. Blisters the size of thumbs. But a mind set free again and wanting to go out again.
