The Crumbling Wall!
With eyes shut I stare
at the wall before me
fingers trace the words
of past memories
stories and fantasies
like a large page
plastered with letters
twisting left and right
making up a maze
of a brain
my mind
Spaces cracked
crunch and crackle
under the shoes
of scrambled words
erased demons
thoughts denied
by the life I am living
forgotten
are these gaps
spilled like black hale
dropped from the wall
I can’t make out
what they once said
in front of slender curved
emptiness
I cry
cast the shadow
across love
and secrets.
Shivers ache
my lonely heart
shake the cursed soul
filling me with fear
when descending dots
scatter to the floor
The crumble of the wall
with old age
Unable to restore
I cherish the words
I can read and see
with open eyes.
Warmed by the flame
I am a moth
stuck in time
with a crumbling wall.

Something I wrote today with the picture in mind. I had it for some time and the idea instantly ignited with in my head and never left. Today the words are written down as they flowed and dropped down on my screen.
