Another music post this 4th Friday of June and let me start of by saying I think she is a very beautiful (scrumptious) lady. Caro Emerald a Dutch singer with a jazzy voice bringing a slice of swing from the 30’s & 40’s, mixed with some pop, a hint of jazz or even a tango or two. Known a little throughout Europe she is one I listen to often these days. With a cold drink and the sun shining high it is bound to have you sway and dream away on this catchy music. It will be hard to sit still.
Caro Emerald
Why am I sitting in the middle of nowhere
Standing here with nothing to do
Wondering if I really love you, oh oh
I’ll drop off the keys at valet
Look out my window bay
One afternoon martini
Wouldn’t want it any other way
Perhaps if I played the seductress
A passionate woman of guile
He’d be there in a minute
The heat won’t diminish
He’d wear nothing more than a smile
For your love is he the hero, mmm
Does he know that you begging him please
Where angels dare, the devils fill that need
Mr. Band Leader
Let’s kick out the jam
Gimme something that’ll light it up
And make my feet go bam bam bam!
Gimme some of that funky
The kind that the Duke used to play
And make it more swingy
I have never dreamed it
Have you ever dreamed a night like this
I cannot believe it
I may never see a night like this
And get me wicked up
Shake it up
Tangled up
You could be breaking up, making up
Tangled up
You can’t be faking it,
Making it from my love
Someone call a doctor
Need some help to rescue me
One second I’m thinkin’ I must be lost
And he keeps on findin’ me
Ladies, his designs make the words fall out of a pantomime
Colors, how they flow, go from avant-garde to beyond sublime
History and mystery, he stops the hands of time
The magic skin is mind
‘Cause the keyser is the maestro
I’m like the smoke on your fire
Smoldering endless desire
How long will your flame burn
So let it burn, it takes its turn
One we never would allow
There is no heart that chance will break
Nothing else could ever stop us now
I’m happy my life changed completely
I’m talkin to you
Your feel got my heart
Call me morning, noon or night
I make it rain or shine
Tell me how long until you say you’re mine
This poetry was brought to you by the Ranting Crow with the help of the lyrics of her songs. Give her listen in the following video, if all is well it means 6 official video clips are lined up for your enjoyment. May it be to your liking. Swing away and make a move or two if you feel like it, it will feel good, of that I am sure.
