Music Friday: Music & Art!
Indisputable they are connected with more than just words. Surely music is art in itself and when you add words you can only strengthen the whole. I enjoy listening to music and do swarm across the many platforms that have came up to the surface of this huge ocean of inspiration and creativity.
The Industrial may not have many followers, like where they turned cookies on a turn table, but in the end it is art and thus becomes unique in its own way. Noise is just another one.
As the go hand in hand what might elevate music or art is the combination of both. We got dance as an art and you could quickly think of ballet, for example, depending on your taste. But visually there is a whole new tour. The first were of course Video clips but they to evolved. Today I like to look at some of my favourite visual beauties with some fantastic music to boost.
First up is a gem. With music from Grimes and the song called “Skin” And a video clip made by James Robert Brown. To say anything would reveal to much of this work of art where an ink flow is used. The beauty is in the fact that facial expressions seem to be formed. This is might just be our imagination but take a look at it and see how two seemingly merge together.
Next is the Chemical Brothers with their new song “Wide open” ft. Beck. I simply love the song and the setting it is put in with this dancer and her computerized body. It is amazing to watch how this comes together. It brings a whole new meaning to the ‘Wide Open’.
After that another oldie. Gorillaz with their song “On Melancholy Hill”. They have been an virtual band from the start and have made some fantastic combinations in music itself. Mixing funk and dance, electric etc and with that added created video clips to enhance there virtual image.
Surely I could go on and on and I might just do a second ‘Music & Art’ Friday just to visit more arty combinations.
If you have any works of art you enjoy, let me know! For now I will leave you with the three I picked. today. May you enjoy both the art and music.
Best Wishes
