The story continues with Duncan entering the flying ship and taking him to the continent.
Kingdom of Crestoria! 27
With just a singe step through the majestic carved doors Duncan stood behind the princess and saw small tale wagging ducks leading guests up down some stairs. A yelp came from one of them. One of the guest had stepped on its floppy flipper. In anger I flapped it wings and puffed up its head with small spikes. Their wings span wasn’t more than that of a chicken wing and its face that of a puffer fish.
“Hey you done staring, this way.” Princess Adelina pulled on Duncan’s sleeve. But for some reason she was showing a small blush, that coloured her already pretty face.
‘If only she wasn’t putting so much she would look a lot more prettier‘ Is what rushed through his head. And smiled carefully. Not wanting to draw to much attention and have her figure out what was going on in his mind.
The duo followed the strange duck through another set of doors. These were holding large glass panels with drawings of mountains and flying birds scratched into them. Everything looked so pretty and made fit for a king when they entered a large dining hall. Tables placed on both sides of the wide aisle were set up for different amounts of people. Though sizes weren’t at all that different.
It puzzled Duncan for some time as they were seated at a table set up for two. Leaving even enough room for two more to join. “If there is anything else you need, just call for the name, Cartoo. I wish you a safe journey. Food will be served in a minute.”
Duncan could not help himself but to follow Cartoo walk away from their table. As his eyes came back to the front he saw the princess staring vigorously into his eyes. Her eyes gleamed with a passion to devour her opponent with everything he was wearing. A cold sweat swept across his back as he tried to divert his eyes to anywhere but the front. With a swift snag he picked up a cup and put it to his mouth, only to find it empty. His diversion failed.
“Seriously, I can’t believe someone like you has to be our Hero. And beside anything else. You seem to check out everything with those beady eyes, but not even once have I felt you looking at me. Do I not have any appeal to you.” Her body set u straight and forced breast up again with her crossing arms. The lips squeezed to a single side, like a weird looking questioning pout.
“what is she thinking, now.” Duncan choked on the air as the pressure he felt stopped his breathing. Clear drops of sweat ran across his face in search for an answer. ‘I can’t say I checked her out, she would kill me for being a perv. But if I say I didn’t check her out, there is no doubt in my mind she will think she ugly. What is with woman, here or in my world.’
“I will most certainly not. I paid good money for this trip, so I will not sit in the lower class section.”
The loud conversation came from the end of the aisle near the open Kitchen.
