Kingdom of Crestoria! 24
Her face showed her annoyance towards Duncan. He had beaten her, or worst could have killed her, ignoring her at moments he should pay attention and not to mention she was a princess and yet he never even thought of her like that. And now, only now did he wanted to know what to call her.
“Are you a moron or something Duncan. The say you are a hero, I am not so sure anymore. You are a wimpy weakling who only by chance defeated me. Pss. You can call me ‘My Queen’!”
Grub spit out a laugh through the fingers he had to cover his mouth. Duncan on the other hand was just dumbfounded and stared at the princess who waved her hair around to fall over her shoulder.
The silence that had fallen was interrupted by the tapping of metal on the floor. The princess had shown her impatience by clicking her heel down and make the metal leg guards cling and rattle in a steady fast rhythm. Her fist grabbed even tighter around the handle of her sword, almost ready to slash it from her sheath and aim straight at Duncan’s neck.
“Princess Adelina, you are not a queen yet, so how could I call you that?” Duncan was calm and unaware of the danger he was putting himself in. It was his luck that Grub could not hold his laughter in any longer and laid rolling on the floor holding his stomach.
“You to Grub.” Angry the princess walked on through the hallways. “Get your ass moving, the luggage is already being loaded on the ship.” One last glance over her shoulder before lifting up her chin and face forward.
-“Yes, sir!” Duncan reacted.
He followed her outside after she hastened her pace even more after what he had said. Her anger was shown by a red flaming aura embracing her tiny body. Grub on the other hand nudged him in his side and looked into his eyes with joking eyes. “She may be spoiled but she is one hack of a fighter. Be gentle with her so that one can keep an eye on her for safekeeping.”
Duncan looked puzzled. “Wait are you not coming with us?”
“I had my Orders to stay behind and relay information coming from the palace to the princess. She felt something was off and somehow thinks your not the hero.”
A deep sigh from the depth of his little toe escaped Duncan’s lips. “That is comforting to know. Ey wait, I have to be alone with her? She will definitely kill me!”
Grub just smiled and pushed our hero along towards the exit. As they past the large gate they walked to the streets that were all very lifely, with stalls of food side by side with clothes shops.
Duncan couldn’t help but think out loud. “Who would have thought there’d be a town attached to the palace.”
“Heh, Heh… ” The princess smiled wryly.
