Monday Moaning: Silent Echoes.
Echoes like the ones on Sunday where you hear the banging of your hangover is not the one I was going to talk about. Though it is clear I need to sort out my weekends and come up with some sort of regularity so I do not have to stretch myself to much during the week. It is tiring and does no good for my health.
No, what I would like to moan about for a change is the echo that we hardly notice or pretty much just ignore. The form might not always be the same but I am sure if one listens carefully, one would start to hear one and sort of have a light bulb moment. As if strange it was never noticed before.
To be honest that is how it went with me. And the thing is once you noticed it you will hear it more often and on places you would have never expected it.
Calling it silent echoes might be a joke in some way as the echo itself does not add anything new to the scene or moment.
So what do I mean?
Well for starters the most common echo and in this case a pretty much repetition of said nothing in many different forms can be found with politicians. Simple as it is they have a way to say nothing in many words and have a knack to even repeat that in a single debate. At first we might not notice, than we start to ignore it as being something a politician does.
To put it in other words we just think it is normal for them to repeat said words even if in the end he Is not saying anything at all. This is but our reaction when it is a politician or anything in that order.
Now the other matter and the one that gave me the idea for this moan is pretty much what we see on telly.
It is not so much the copying of things like we love doing but more the voices and the echo of the story. Though that copying might be considered an echo as well as it spreads between us all and reaches us all. As if we all want to scream down the same valley and listen.
But what I am after is the programs that we these days watch.
In these particular shows we have a host, a voice-over and the actual participant. And to show what I mean I will write down a said echo one could hear or pretty much just ignores.
Host. Welcome to Program X where Dennis Stickler age 18 will show his dance moves. Born in Wherethefuck he has been showing of his moves ever since the day he could walk.
A video clip introduction with a voice over. Here in Wherethefuck Dennis was born 18 years ago. In this house he showed his moves since he was able to walk. Making the sofa a podium.
Now if you have not heard the story just yet. The participant will tell you his view in the following interview. My name is Dennis I will be 19 next week and have been dancing since I can remember. Jumping on the sofa and having my parents watch me. Not much else was possible in Wherethefuck where I grew up so to have fun we danced.
This is clearly just some make up crap by my self. But when we watch the shows with this concept we do hear an echo from a voice-over telling us the story before hand. As if to say just in case you miss it coming from the participants themselves.
Clearly we are missing the point in interviews these days that we need to repeat something over and over. Most the time I have to be honest I ignored it, but more and more it starts to annoy me that half the program consists of repeating or being a god damn echo of the actual story.
Not to mention that after a commercial break the whole lot is told again for those who just tuned in. Talk about echoing.
If this was just with that kind of crap programs we could just go back to ignoring. Hell, if only.
This phenomenon has also started to occur in the news. Where the reader tells you a story or news item that than is repeated in the answers from a reporter at the scene. And eventually is found in the clip they show of a interview.
Finding this idiotic way of making television so annoying could just be me but I guess I needed this crap just so that I could blow of some team on a Monday Moaning.
Reason for this is just that it ridicules us people. It clearly shows we are not able to make good television anymore and need some crappy ways to fill up an entire hour. Sure it is with more air and less content that should really matter.
It is a short moan for this Monday but I sure as hell do not want to be the one finding myself repeating my own words. Though if I would do so, would make it easier fro you to remember. As repetition helps learning and remembering better and faster.
Clearly not what I am send out to do. Not wanting to fill up your brain with sweet nothings this crow have been spilling and repeating.
Pay some attention and see how many programs you watch use this concept of TV making. It might just surprise you.
Not to mention how far a echo reaches when put on some social media.
Next week more moans from your crazy Crow.
