Kingdom of Crestoria! 17
Dust flies up from underneath the princess from a strong whip of her wings. She had set to approach Duncan at full speed her sword held by her hips read to strike when in the near vicinity of her opponent. Her roar was nothing more than a scream and her annoyed impression of this man in front of her.
“You sure are cocky and full of yourself with just a short sword and not much armour. Get ready for the surprise and the discovery you are no hero.”
Duncan trembling as he saw her wings create that gust of wind and made the crowd’s screams support their princess. Undefeated even against that big giant they met earlier. What kind of woman is she that she can break men like matchsticks.
Her distance became shorter and by now he could tell from her eyes she was serious about defeating him as well. Shivers crawled over his body and his feet started to move on their own and ran away from the storm approaching.
“I am not cocky, I don’t want to FIGHT.”
In his hysteria he didn’t notice that Adelina had taken a small direction change and curved away from the direction Duncan was running. As if she knew he was about to run, she sped up without intention to attack, but intercept and stop him in his tracks.
Her wings carried her up and over the hero who ran blind in fear, to a dive and turn to face him once again.
The momentum he was having made it impossible for him to stop as he seen her take up her sword like some batter, ready to strike and cut of his head or something like that. HIs feet couldn’t keep up and a small rock made Duncan trip and fly face first through the air.
He reached out his arms to break the fall but instead had the sword slip from his hand. It flew straight like an arrow towards the princess with a slight rotation along its axle. The last thing on his mind was to scream at her to watch out but before he could he was eating sand as his face hit the dirt.
Never did he see what happened after with tears to create a mud mask. And in her surprise she almost forgot to move as she had this sharp projectile coming her way.
But she turned her head and seen the silver lightning flash pass her by. Red hairs were caught in the wind and cut off to float quietly down to the ground.
The entire stadium held their breath as they seen their princess dodging death at the last minute.
Fearsome were the eyes the princess threw back at Duncan. They were filled with surprise, fear, disbelief and anger. This man had almost felled her with this clumsy attempt. Was it a fluke? Her arm stretched out with the sword pointed at the Hero in front of her who is spitting and gagging on the sand covering his tongue.
