Taking You back a little in time with Pussycat (not to mistaken for the later Pussycat Dolls), a Ducth music band from the early years of my life. To many they may not even ring a bell, but give the songs a try. They are easy to listen to pop songs, with a splash of country. The songs always make me smile and on days as grey and cold as they are right now, a whiff of happy does wonders.
On with the Lyrics I picked and ordered to create something new. A form of story poetry if you will.
And every time when summer nights are falling,
I always will be calling,
Dreams of yesterday.
Till tomorrow I’ll be dreaming that you’re mine
It’s the first time that I fell in love
Its the last time that I care.
There were days I couldn’t weep,
nights I couldn’t sleep
And ev’ry thing I did
just turned out wrong.
Can I reach for the sun
Find a place I belong
Now you’re one
of my broken souvenirs.
As I stare outside my window
And I see the clouds are passin’ by.
I am feelin’ lonely –
I love you
I want you
I need you so I think I’ll die.
But the melody keeps haunting me
Reminding me how in love we used to be
Keep hearing the part that used to touch our hearts
Staying together forever, breaking up never.
When the music stopped, we just walked away
Into every day, where people go.
Trees are crying rivers down the cloudy hill
Raindrops chase away the lonely daffodil
Memories of loving last night looking at the broken twilight
Maybe I shouldn’t wonder why
I can feel the falling rain.
