Friday’s Favourites is all about some of my own favourite writings and a little back story on the posts it self.
I am not someone who can recite the things I wrote, as most are or were written in the spur of the moment. Reading how ever is a different story and on occasion I am reminded of my past writings by those who inspire me. Not considering myself to be a great poetry writer, I do give it a shot here and there. It is mostly this that gave me an idea to revisit old posts.
Since I have created 4 categories inside the Poetry Library I call, The Crow’s Blood Spills I will spend a couple of Fridays revisiting each and every one of them and select a few of my favourites. It is not a top 5 as I can’t say which I love the most. They are all part of me.
The second I am revisiting is Miscellaneous & Unsorted: A short explanation on the category would be that it is humour and on the other hand more worldly issues being written about that go on at this day. Like; War, People or worse about Abuse.
Roasted, Hot & Creamy: A big title for a fun write I done. It is best you read rather than to hear me blab about it as it will make more sense that way.
Mirroring a Mother: Was basically written after a talk with some great mommies here on WP. And felt like doing or writing something for them.
Distilled in Silence: I guess it is an issue still going on in many countries where there is conflict. It does question what we are doing is right. And if we can change the roars in silence.
Nameless Faces: The reason is simple on why I wrote this. Having been on this end one knows the faces but not the names. The people that just disappear without a trace never seen or simply ignored. They to are people. And I think having seen this artist; IMPREINT I felt I had to share and mention it again.
Old Barn: Was the first where a Photographer inspired me to write about a picture. It had me realize that small things can inspire to write beyond the imagination. It was so much fun to dive in and just be a speck of dust flying through a barn. I dare you to find inspiration in little things around you.
For more of my poetry, check out the Crow’s Blood Spills at the top of the page. Each picture will take you deeper in side heart.
Best Wishes
Ranting Crow
