Kingdom of Crestoria! 4
With small careful strides I keep following the two animal like creatures in front of me. Sounds of metal hitting each other, screams of war echoed through the air. Just one after another and all different. In front of me a pair of animals lined up before a large door. Their armour had a nice solid ring to it and the sword was unsheathed and held in front of their faces.
They startled me and gave of a scary vibe as their eyes turned towards me. I felt them stinging me, poking my flesh and penetrating my body. Inducing me with fear and timid emotions. To bow down my head was all I could think of and stared aimlessly at the small rides between stones and how they fitted perfectly, like small pieces of a puzzle. My back felt filthy as I could feel the sweat drip down in to my pants and wet my crack. This uneasy feeling is just to much for some like me, who does not even know where he is.
My gaze went up when I heard the princess speak to one of those soldiers, but there was not a word I could understand. As the door opened my mind was still trying to analyse the language from the many news stories I sometimes came across on television if I was not to busy playing games. Though not one would match what I just heard.
It was a complete different feel when I watched my feet cross the boundaries of the indoors in to the open. Outside I found myself in large courtyard surrounded by corridors connected to a castle you would have heard of in a fairy tale. My amazement is complete when I see all kinds of animals fighting with swords. So this was what I heard when I was walking the long hallway. A snap of a finger from Grub has a soldier come from behind and run off on all fours.
The sweat in my hands was also building up and I kept rubbing them against my pants as anxiety was getting the better of me. I could not help my neck twist and turn every second of every step we took towards the corridor. They were looking, they stopped fighting to watch me.
Though just as we reached the shadow cast by the corridor a extreme large soldier jumped in front of us. Dust was blown up from the force he expelled and blew me over. Pretty sure it was his doing and not the scaredy-cat in me who lost his foothold on the ground beneath him.
I could see Grub jump in between him and the princess and stop a blow of his fist. Its shockwave blew our hair in every direction like a strong wind. But it left Grub unmoved and only grinning back at his bigger opponent.
The word exchange was again one I could not follow. So to sooth myself just a little I made up the words. “Listen Punk, Beat it”
“Suck it Grub, I am bigger than you” He looked angry at Grub and slapped away his hand.
“What ever, But not in front of the princess” His fist is raised with a thumb pointing back.
What was going on here? Why have they all gone silent and are they staring at us? It makes me feel uncomfortable I can’t understand them.
