Monday Moaning: Equal Illusion!
Oh is it turning in that kind of post. Well maybe but what is there to say about it. How many sides does this story know. Should we not ask ourselves whether we are trying to become reality or that we just faking Iit?
We are all talking high and mighty when we discuss equal rights. Though what does that truly mean?
In history we have had more than one example of where we tried (yeah tried) to create equal rights when it was about the coloured community. Yes coloured as it wasn’t just the black. Yes I am not going to use any other names as either is believed to become discriminating in some form or way.
This is however our first idea of tried equality. As even today the colour issue is still at hand and has many refuse to treat people equally. Sure the LAW made it so we some how had to treat people equal but this is has just became a rule in our society.
Equal my ass if we need to use or make up rules and laws to create what looks like equality. But under no circumstances is that a truth. As people are being distinguished for what ever reason.
No matter how we look at the rules, even women has been set in stone to have equal rights. Though in the rules and laws it is to be the same as me. Feel the difference there. How equal would that hold to, let us use, the rule where we differentiate the coloured community.
This is just a beginning where we use laws and rules to create a form of equality. Should this not be something buried inside our hearts. As human beings.
Sure enough we need laws and rules, of that I am sure though the reason why is another topic. When we discuss violations or murder we need to be sure that there is a law set up to explain why we give punishment. Yet this is a moral issue more than the subject about being equal. That said most crimes occur because of not being an equal.
Rich and poor might well be the biggest cause of why we never really will believe in equal rights. Do not get me wrong it is one of the many reasons. All in the name of hierarchy and making sure there is a difference between who is who. As long as we keep that system in check there will never be a day we can be equals. For in the system we have there will be worker bees and rulers of these foot folk.
The issue is spreading widely and what to do about it? As the causes are larger than we have thought this far. Reacher further than ever and even blurring as never existent.
I am referring to the issue here in Europe. We are looked at by the masses as anti social. Unwilling to help the large flow of refugees.
This might be harsh in words and very opinionated but I have thought about this. In a way I am disappointed I am looked as someone who discriminates. But why am I guilty?
Did they not flee there country for being mistreated. And we are talking about hundreds of thousands running from an organization as IS. I get that part. It is they who are not even considering equal rights like us westerners. Still why am I guilty of mistreatment.
In this state, cases form a strange equality idea. And though it has not yet happened how far away from it are we.
The best example is happening more and more. Though the reason might always be different. A kid gets shot. Yes he was from the black community. The shouts of discrimination are uttered in a haste. Still who says that a victim should turn oppressor and discriminate or treat innocent people unequally. Plundering their stores burning houses and cars.
That gap we created has become a hotpot and reason to flip a switch and become the opposite.
Now back to refugees. They first are victims. Putting their own life in danger on over loaded boat. And than demand us to reconsider helping them.
What stopped them from doing so in their own country?
Equality so it seems is also very much religion related. How on earth are we going to create a world where all life and humans is treated as equal. I know it is a dream but still.
I am willing to help but why do they flood our borders as they can easily with their numbers and some help create a different system at their own country.
How can one ask for equal rights while the gap between two different worlds is being widened. want to help but we can’t do it here in our own country. It is strange how they are saying they have equal rights and still oppress us or at least are able to demand. Are we doing the best we can.
Should one flip over from being one to another and demand when they can’t even be human themselves. Putting people in danger young children that drown when thrown of a boat? Is that how one treats a human? How equal are they being treated and how equal is there own treatment. I am pretty sure selfishness becomes a big issue when surviving instincts take over. And only the strong survive. Strong enough to trample over kids but not to oppose another man. And he demands to be treated equal?
It is a funny idea at this point?
Can we do better, are we doing the best we can.At the very moment I think we are with the flow as they are going. But in the long run it will only worsen unless we stop it at the core of the problem.
There is more than just religion though it is part of the next problem as well.
When we talk sexuality we stumble across problems we have with men and women. Why can’t we treat a human the same as any other when they are gay? Or how about the transsexuals?
Just like the early women rights and the black community we now put different sexualities to the bottom of our system. How are they any different from us? So we got a guy with tits or a woman with both a cock and pussy. Why do we treat these people any different.
Neither of us asks to be treated differently yet within the system we keep practicing we keep shunning those who are not equal to a certain what could be considered a norm.
True enough I hope we can put aside differences like that. That we can treat people as people for who they are and not what they look like, who they like. I know more than anyone that moral standards differ every here we look. But if one is thinking they are right does not give you the right to treat others differently. Most the time I am one of those who do blame religion. As it is used most as what is considered normal or a norm.
If rich and poor is a norm we will never be equals. If strong and weak is a norm we will never be equals. As long as we keep nit-picking on small things like colour, sexuality, religion or what ever small issue we can come up we will never achieve something like equality.
Sure enough one might not be the other but one can’t, morally speaking, become an oppressor from weakness and demand equal treatment.
Is equality an illusion, a far away dream? How close can we get to it?
Am I guilty of treating people differently on times. Yes I am as well. Do I in a way judge these refugees, yes I am. As the talk about one they thing they want another. And they also seem to think that our rules do not apply to them. It is a delicate issue going on. But there is so much more at hand than equal rights.
But what do you think? Ever thought about it in a deeper way? Digging beyond the media attention one might find a different answer. Spread the words and let us see how close we can get understanding motives, opinions and people. Respect an answer right or wrong. Find the best answer that suits you the best.
