Kane is a Dutch band from the city I was born. The band has like many from this town a rocky feel, which is one of my favourites. They started in 1998 all the way up to 2014 when the band disbanded to the members could go on and focus on projects of their own.
The guitar rock was inspired by early U2 and later they turned to a more electrical sound.
I give you pieces of their lyrics, put together in my very own way.
Crushed by her words so true
Torn by her eyes so blue
And my hearts’ desire
Run from the darkest moon
I’ve been searching for the reason within reasons,
Been searching for the higher ground in me.
And I’ve been trying to surrender.
Once I really believed
There was nothing out there for the lost and lonely
But a voice in my head kept banging on my heart
No matter how I try
She reigns with her symphony.. Over me
Words may try…
I say eyes don’t lie
It brings me back, you know what game to play
Back into your flame
Back towards the point of no return
To see your face again
If eyes burning
And I’m looking for your trace in the fallen snow
I want you back cause I need you here
From this day on,
Forgiveness springs from blame,
And it’s here for you.
With my head against the window
Seal the letter which I did not sign
Should I wait for you for one last time
There’s no end and no beginning
Way down to the bone
Carrying yourself together
Cause you’re way back home
You keep me waiting
Clock turns back, listen to the beat of my heart
Every second seems to chain me baby
But I stayed ’till the end of time
‘cuz you don’t ever hide for love…no
You face it again.
