Just a quick poem I wrote when looking in a mirror. Seeing all those memories of who I am and was and the truth hiding inside the man in front of me.
Abandoned Truth!
Truth concealed
by lies produced.
In our moments
of sorrow and pain.
Deceiving intended
for those around us.
Showing an image
we pretend to be.
What is hidden
behind written,
spoken words.
Dominating by
empowering the deeds.
satisfying our ignorance
and remorseful selfishness.
Rotten we hide
under false light
Excusing pessimism
over accepting truth.
We abandon veracity
With mocking benevolence!
Unrecognised glares
from mirrored ego!

Uh, love it! I myself am spending way too much time looking in the mirror: is that really me? Age works in weird ways.
Yeah age and creams and all those botox injections. we lie to ourselves and keep ignorant, dumb. Not to mention our way of lying and hiding truths.
I am overjoyed you loved it.
