After last night I got inspired and this morning I wrote the following poem. I can only hope you enjoy my raw thinking within my writing style.
Imperious!
What have we become to
what do we have to show
other than the hate we nurture
have our imperious grow
Arrogant we taught others
a pompous way to be
tall we walked among towers
trample houses down below
What have we become to
what do we teach our own
that variations are excuses
from which discrepancy flow
contemptuous we forced
our way of thinking
tall we felt when flying high
watching other people die
What have we become to
Are we so deaf and blind
Unaware of our arrogance
loathing all other kind
We not on top of mountains
or taller than a tree
the higher we think we are flying
the hardest the fall will be
What have we become to
what history taught us wrong
Are we to easy in believing
weak following the strong.
Or is the strong like me a human
from flesh and blood provided
that he to will have to admit
his defeat when we stand undivided.
What have we become to
the answer I do not know
but true we should be living
as one, says an overbearing Crow

This is a poem after last nights talk with the Culturemonk and CatholicJohn About our behaviour I guess through out history. At the same time, I used a prompt by the lovely Australian writer of poetry, Giorge Thomas. She Prompted the word ‘Tall’ and I guessed it would fit right in, though it may be in a bad lighting or bad sense of the word.
Don’t forget to say hi! let me know what you think.
And did you know I wrote a Sensual Sunday story based on an idea from Giorge Thomas that started in the Sensual Story Teller and even used her name.
Best Wishes
