Insomniac state
The burn
in my eyes
desert sand
dusted
them dry
an oases
of tears
blur vision
wanting
to sleep
Tornado
furiously
in mind
scrambling
thoughts
sucking
energy
resources
depleting
the brain
light night
dark days
hours alike
until crash
shutdown
full of empty
ashes
remained
till fires
are reborn
clocks ticks
relentless
loud seconds
I lay awake
facing my soul
ears covered
heart beat
chaos created
lullaby
inside of me.
I crave some sleep.

And I definitely get this as well. Great poem.
Thank you so much. Finally had me some shut eye and feeling way better. Thank you for stopping by
Oh good! Glad to know. 🙂
This is exactly how I felt last night! Am lucky that insomnia only hits me very, very rarely.
Happy to hear that. keep on smiling Missy and it is nights like these you honour me with your presence. Thank you
You describe it well
