It may kick against a shin or two, but it is me saying what is on my mind. And yes one step beyond what happened.
I cannot keep my mouth shut after what happened yesterday in France. As I am stunned by how someone can revert to such violence to justify their believes. And it is just a fundamental thinking or extreme thinking individuals it is you and me with normal brains as well.
Now we cannot say it is the fault of a religion, soon as we start dissecting that we might as well dissect them all as being or having something wrong. A constant delusional scripture might get to you and can be explained in a wrong way. Or was it right to begin with. None of these should matter as one should at least have some morals to keep you from arming yourself against others and actually using that weapon to protect or even attack a thought.
A thought well yeah that is as far as I reduced religion. What might be a moral compass to many is being used as an excuse to freely kill in name of a lord/allah/god or prophet. It takes one lunatic to see it differently and ten morons to help him. And a million or so to just watch and do nothing.
I will say it again though that there are many people who follow the same believe and condemn those extremists or fundamentalist or what ever name you want to put on them. It is the way they do things that makes communicating even harder and hatred grow bigger. As a world or nation it is not hatred or rivers of blood we should try to achieve. But how to stop those who deeply believe their cause, that they are willing to execute people on the street that lie helpless on the ground.
When does ‘VIOLENCE’ become an answer to the question.
Ridiculing a president. Who cares? We laugh and smile and forget about it. And those with humor might laugh at a God, pope, pastor, Jew, Rabbi, prophet or even an Allah.We might but some might take offense to it whether it depicts truth or not.
Will we still smile now that everyone is even more careful what they say about the Islam and there fundamentalists. Is that what they truly want. We don’t but will it be as they want it to be. As the violence they showed will likely cause for more hate towards the religion, if it is true it was done in that name, and hurt even those who condemn their tactics. Will we stand taller for our own believes and also pick up weapons.
Are we any better as westerners? No, we are not and all we need to do is take a look at what has happened in the past months. For example New York and before that in another city. What has happened is not to be said justified. I am no judge and I for one can not say right or wrong. A loss of life is always wrong. There is no justification at any time to use violence in such way it end up killing a person.
But the aftermath that followed is just as much an act of terrorism. The hatred used to justify the beating of people and plundering the streets and shop of people who worked hard for it. Was it justified that many years ago to just attack cops after they made a mistake. True that the cop had the benefit of a doubt in court, now with even more camera’s in the streets (Phones). We do see more than before, but we never see the whole picture. Is violence the answer?
No we are just as bad. And we should all know that hatred causes more hatred. And what ever the bible says about the other cheek, screw that. Don’t lift a finger. to hit even one cheek.
Who am I to tell you to walk my way or agree with some thoughts. But soon as one picks up a weapon and keeps it within reach it will be used. There is intend by putting it in a bag. Does that mean one should not protect themselves. No but we should not even attack someone helpless or anyone for that matter.
What question does one ask to justify a crime of any magnitude.
Soon as we start thinking because ‘I CAN’, we all fall into selfishness. Yes I CAN rape, but that is selfish. Yes I can rob a bank, but it is just selfish. Yes I can kill but that is just selfish. I can protect my believes, but that is just selfish.
No way in the world is there a question that is answered with VIOLENCE. This goes for every religion and every person in the world. It is up to you to break through that cycle.
No God/Prophet wants his people consumed by hate thinking violence is the answer to everything.
My thought are with those who died in the line of duty, protecting fellow humans or in vain. A cashier at a supermarket, A man on the streets, A man who stood in the way. The cop who only protected those who killed him And the artist who’s pen turned out to be a weapon to retaliate against.
Lets put a stop to violence and self destruct, and let us do it together. Start talking and understanding.
