Wednesday and McDougal time. It has been a while since I wrote anything so I hope I still can and do a nice job here continuing the story. If you would like to read earlier parts you an always go to the Crow’s Nest.
Detective McDougal! Part Dieci.
Alfonso gestures the guards to lower their guns and sends them away, “It is all in order they are not here to steal anything”. “And who might the young lady be Jerry?” Alfonso turns to Susan and takes her hand into his own gently petting the back of it. the name is Alfonso, Alfonso Boerio at your service mia bellezza.”
With a healthy blush Susan looks down to her own hand being held and the puppy eyes of this Alfonso. “The name is Susan Fratelo, Alfonso.”
His lips kiss her hand and lets go, a smile is generated quickly after and his whisper of a different nature, “Is Jerry uhm… well are you two together, I mean, I am better looking then him. If you get what I mean” A wink closes his sentence and has Susan giggle.
Alfonso is a good looking man with black hair tightly pulled back into a pony tail. His eyes a deep and warm brown like that of a gazing deer. His body covered by loads of armour and gear but his large muscular arms do tell a story of a fit strong looking man.
“Jerry is my protector ever since the day he died, and having a silent crush on him, but you need to keep that a secret.” Her grin is a devious one, that of a woman with a plan and secrets. “But thank you for the offer Alfonso. Jerry shall we go?”
Jerry stood waiting at the lower end of the stairs holding the shoes she had thrown at the steps. The grinding of gears and cogs as they walk up the next level suggest the shielding are being drawn up and the gates closed once again. Handing over the heels he could not help asking how she knew.
“How did you know about the steps, Susan?”
Balancing on the ball of her feet and leaning on his shoulder she slips back on her shoes half way the stairs. “I just noticed a sort of similar looking eye on the side of the steps, one we used at home as well. So I thought of getting the alarm on and get rescued.”
“We could have gotten arrested too, you know. Or worse get shot. In a way glad Alfonso heard my voice and stopped them from shooting us.”
The three walk through a door and end up in a large hall like looking room, covered with beautiful marble and decorative lamps hanging from the walls. One other door is wide open and has the men putting away their gear. With the sound of a big bolt springing into place they look back at where they came from, but there wasn’t a distinguished door to be seen.
“Welcome Jerry and Susan to the bank. How did you know about the secret train station? Only a select few know about it and isn’t used very often.”
“During a shooting at the club we found an escape tunnel leading up to some of those tracks. Seeing light I figured I could get out of there, not knowing I would find some large bars stopping us form getting into safety. And I never knew you were doing security work.”
“From where do you know Alfonso Jerry?” Susan pulls his arm wrapping her own around and lay9ing her head to rest. Her eyes looking at Alfonso with a wicked smile.
Best wishes and so hope you enjoyed the part.
