I am Humankind!
Infect those around with smiles and love
Ancient rituals like war with sparrow
Misinterpreted to have a victor
Here in the Universe’s womb
United with millions of stars
Mankind is but a speck of dust in hibernation
A sun glorious at our centre awakening all
Nourishing us with its warm nectar
Kindred spirits form the marrow
In the backbone of society
Not as fickle as the weather
Directing to a holistic entity

This was done in response of a prompt at ‘The Reverie‘. A place where some great poets come together and share their work. Give them a visit or join them with a weekly fun prompt.
I went out of my way with this, even got out of my comfort zone and did an acrostic poem in the process. Question really is if I used the word right. I had me some fun at least. As an individual I am part of something greater. I am like you, Humankind, and it is up to us to heal the world. Maybe one day we can move as one, be as one and live as one.

It is what one could call a 4am poem LOL. And hoping I used the word ‘Holistic’ right. Humanity being the entity we hope it to become.
