Turn on your speakers as I hope the music will start playing straight away. If not press play at the bottom LOL
I said it before I love music and my interest is spread across a lot of different genres. Music is there to move us and helps us with our emotions. Some can make us happy as the other calms us down. Music can even call upon the anger to release, but we love it when we listen to whatever our need is. Now taste is debatable and I am the last one to tell you what to listen.
That said I want to share with you some of the new and young artist that are still growing or just getting started. I put together a list of songs to listen to and have you be amazed about the new sounds they create. Not said you have to love them just give them a try and make up your own mind.
First up is Dotan, a Dutch singer and songwriter. Born 1986 in Jerusalem, has a clean crisp style with easy listening and soft instruments. It is all a mix of softness with a clear simple beat tying it together. More Information you can find at the following link. Dotan
The kick-off has been made and that brings us to a young lady age 16 with a voice that will most likely strike you as it struck many before us. Also Dutch and singer and songwriter, with her music being jolly it sure will make you smile. Give this young lady a listen she is second in line. For more information I used Google translate (rarely do) to give you a bio. You can go to following link.
Third we are having a street musician where people in London might have heard her sing. Susana Silva. With, in my opinion a undefinable genre she brings a new sound in to the mix. She is a rising star born in Portugal and one to keep an eye out if you ask me. The clips is taken from a Dutch late night show. Her voice is stunning; it has a classic feel from the jazz era. Let her amaze you with her song. You can find more information at her homepage.
Time for another guy, living in Australia he is also is a street musician. Mark Wilkinson. In the list I got a lovely song, ‘The best thing’. His voice creating a new dimension as his guitar is the only instrument. Making the lyrics truly pop out and creating a melody make it a great song of an upcoming artist. Information can be found at the following link.
Four more to go. First is Sam Smith a British soul singer born 1992 he to is a young star on the rise if you ask me. A voice that will surprise you as it has that velvet touch to tie into the music. I can only say to give this man a go. With his song stay with me he found his way in my list to introduce to you. Want to know more about him find it here.
Ella Henderson is another British singer songwriter at the age of 18 with her debut single ‘Ghost’. With a big music contract under her belt she is prawn to grow into a big star with her pop/dance songs. Her song hitting big everywhere in the world might indicate we can prepare for more great music. Find her here.
Talking about dance we have an older yet great musician, who prefers to play his dance music live. At the age of 31 is already made his name and fame in the background of some great names but now going solo with some catchy tunes. I am talking about Falco Benz. In the list I put a live registration of one of his new songs. Give the guy a try and find we are going back to the old days of dance with a new sound. Go to the following link if you want to know more about him.
Last I have for you another Dutch singer songwriter. A lady this time that rocks. The way she is capable of playing with her voice is unheard of. High low, slow or fast she changes in a single beat. At the age of 18 she to is one of the youngsters who is making name for herself. She even got me to put in three great songs. A mix of Amy McDonald and Adele might be the best way to describe this new sound and voice. I think she is amazing and has me listening to her quite often The first I have of her is a live performance, be amazed as she sings with such determination and powerful feelings, it blows me away. Her homepage can be found here. Again translated to make it easier for you to read.
May you have enjoyed the music I had to offer you today? It was a pleasure introducing these new and maybe upcoming artists, as they are bringing something new to the radio.
