Monday Moaning, Fruit Shoot
Good morning or afternoon when you are ahead of time. It is nice to sit here typing with a cup of coffee and thinking about what to rant about. It is almost therapeutically blowing of steam in some way. Now surely it is not by any means the intention you have to agree with me, rather than have a thought about it yourself.
News is all around us and most the time it is bad news so we can feel a little better ourselves. While good news makes us feel better to we still wanted to be the winner of that lottery or sell those millions of records/books. No think for yourself and maybe you can find the other side of a story. Crawling out of a recession we still struggle while things get keeping more expensive. The big question is, are they really getting pricier or are they keeping the price up artificially?
The next news is out in the open here and makes my skin crawl. Due to some Russian boycott not accepting our fruits and vegetables we have too much. And all of a sudden our true nature comes flooding up. We are a greedy bunch. We give more about money than anything else.
Yes we rather destroy the fruits we have to much to keep the price up rather than being a Good Samaritan and fed those in hunger at the food banks We are destroying good healthy product to keep the price artificially high. They are scared we the consumer may have to pay too little for our tomatoes, cucumbers and other fruits and veggies.
There was a time cartel forming, and no not the drugs kind, was considered a crime against humanity. Building companies get millions of dollars’ worth on fines because they commit fraud and negotiate prices among one another, to see who gets to build.
Oil companies just pump up less oil or secretly put more oil in reserve to keep prices up. Last couple of years it became very eminent for the US as prices sky rocketed up. And never have been going down any more.
Why are we so greedy we always need to make profits and earn more each year. To which people want to work for money making expenses rise again and so does the price again for the product.
It is a vicious circle. I believe a year ago I spoke of this as well. We need to earn money in order to buy your products. If we are not working you sell less since we earn less. Now automating things would suggest making people earn less. To which they can buy less. Making you not having to make much raising your production prices to which it hardly can be sold any more. Or it becomes a product that signifies a image. We love having an image and how we are perceived by others.
Does money really matters that much, we rather let people who can use that food starve to death. Have them watch and hear on a telly or radio that you want the price to stay up. What kind of idea does that give to our economy? How trustworthy have the companies become? In whose interest are they producing? What if we automate everything, can we than still see people earn money and be able to spend it. Or will these paths of greed we chose lead us to a bigger gap between rich and poor.
A gap I might add that is already growing bigger. A gap seen best in countries like Ghana and Togo. Countries where war is constantly present. Where the rich are safe and feeding of money gathered by foreign countries in the hope they can help those children with some food.
Strange how we end up with the word war again. We seriously fight over the silliest of things. All because we rather throw away our veggies than help the needy.
Best Wishes

PS. Utopia does it exist? Next week, unless something bigger comes up.
