Title is just that, as I could not think of a better title for something so delicate. It is something dear to the heart and feel it needs to be heard and shown from a flip side. So today a poem written by me the teller and the innocence broken. God knows if I got it right for all those who need a voice. Speak up and let us stop this together.
Broken Innocents!
“A silent moon
Witness
Of cries in the night
Suffocated by pillow
Stars twinkle in
Tears
Buried in greases
And wrinkles”
The words resonate
through memories;
Just a good night
hug and kiss
Or a little while
sleeping together
For years a secret.
The soothed pain
Hurting
From touches,
caresses of the clueless.
World shattering
screams
Unheard or stopped
in unbelief by those trusted.
“Promises broken
the innocents.
Voices denied
from the child”
Hiding the hearts
ashamed
in darker shadow
of tortures homes
Fearful bodies
shaken, shattered
by announced deaths
they remain in silence.
“Living a scarred life
by an abusive protector
Shamed by the hand they trusted.
Broken by those they believed,
They loved
In their innocence”

Ranting Crow
I love how this came together, Crow. Hauntingly beautiful.
I thank you kindly for the help and honest words when I was putting this together.
And I thank you. Hope I was able to tell the story so many are ashamed of telling.
