Detective Jerry McDougal
There was something about the way she acted that had me confused, but I could not get my fingers on it. That moment she stepped out of the car in her shiny red high heels, leaving me with a view on her polka dot skirt slowly walking away. She was getting away after this wonderful night out at a new and trendy 50’s restaurant. Dressed to impress we walked in there, made eyes turn and necks break when we took the dance floor. Deep in my thoughts I stare to the front of the car.
“Hey how about another drink at my place, Jerry. You know, one for the road” Her body leaned into the car, resting her arms on the door. Surprised I see her showing just enough of her laced bra underneath her virgin white blouse.
“Oh yeah… Do not mind me if I do” Turning off the engine and shutting the car door behind me.
Up a couple of steps we enter a big hall with a marble floor and golden candle lights hanging of the walls. There is a security guy behind a counter watching his monitors. “Good evening Miss Deviuss had a fun time, I hope”
“The fun is only just beginning, James. Thank you for keeping an eye on the fort for me.” And she blows him a kiss as the sliding doors close up in front of us.
This flirting lady has been the centre of my investigation for years now. And as time went on, I found out something about her that made my skin creep and at the same time wanting her. And here I am following her into the elevator to her apartment. Her body is that of a woman keeping in shape. With her long legs standing firm in her heels she shows of her hourglass waist accentuated with a red belt. Her face smooth like porcelain and her curly dark hair tied with a bow, making everything about her so feminine, it drives every man crazy.
But she is most likely the syndicates leading lady. A stone cold killer, though I am starting to have my doubts. I played my role and did my job, but maybe I made a mistake in the investigation. Ever since I got to know her, she doesn’t seem to be anything like in the reports. Is she even the same woman?
“Hey, Jerry. I had me a great time, what do you say we skip the drink.” She wraps her fingers around my tie and pulls me gently towards her, Feeling her warm breath in my neck as she whispered those words. My heart is racing and even stopped for a second when the elevator bell rang and the doors started sliding open. Leaning on my shoulder she takes of her heels and walks bare foot into the apartment.
With a flick of the wrists she tosses her shoes in a corner and waves me to follow her with a naughty grin on her face. Her hands start undoing her buttons of her blouse as she dances through the hallway in to the living room. With a slow pace I follow her and loosened up the tie and some buttons.
That she stopped and froze in the middle of the room. And as I moved closer I heard another voice speak up.
“Hey sis, aren’t you the happy go dancing type tonight, scored another guy for the night.”
-“Diana, what the hell are you doing here?”
“I am here to save you Susan, oh sister of mine. Again, I might add.”
-“I do not need your saving Diane. Every time you are saying, you will be saving me, is just another guy being ripped from my life. Why do you not want me to be happy?”
The words posed a threat but I could not stop myself from walking into the room as well. With my eyes faced at where the other voice was coming from I discovered why Susan was nothing like the woman in the files. There at the piano stood a woman pointing a gun at me, looking like an exact duplicate of Susan but with a certain demeanour on her face.
“The last thing I remembered was a gun shot, sir. Sorry I could not be of any more help”
“You done good son, you get back on your feet McDougal. You are a lucky ass punk with a guardian angel looking out over you. If we did not receive that call we would have never found you alive.”
-“Sir, would you be so kind to leave the room.” A familiar voice enters the room.
“Yes of course, sorry nurse, he is all yours take good care of him.”
-“I will sir’
I stare into two amber eyes in porcelain like face as the nurse is covering me under a blanket. “Thank you Susan.”
“Ssst Jerry, not so loud”
And we smiled into the night having her take really good care of me.
