Welcome to another of my Monday Moanings. As you all know on Monday I rant and rave on about what is on my mind. And topics range al over the place. Never will I say I am right but it feels good to air a little on times.
Today is something close to heart. Being something that happens every where and is even considered normal in some countries. Abuse of women. How and why does it happen. Sure most wonder why a woman does not leave the man when in an abusive relationship, but there is a lot of reasons to even start answering that. We can however answer why the man would do something like this. Most the time is jealousy and wanting to control and using the fist and words to do so.
Yes mental abuse is just as painful. And leaves unseen scars. And they are for the most part reason for a woman to stay. Because when it is said often enough one would start to believe it. Is just one way. Again there is to many to even answer.
So why today talk about abuse. Well this morning a mum died due to her injuries. At age 42 she took on the fight and passed away in the hospital. There was a use of weapons so I assume she fought for her life. Her sun was only a stone throw away on his school when al this took place.
Who ever reads this, if by any change you hear something, that looks like abuse. Report it. Call it in. Does she need to be at home a certain time, does she have rules, makes sure to tell them they are never alone and you will help. This has to stop.
And that brings us to another self defend case. A jeweller is getting robbed at gunpoint. Instead of giving in the woman and man fight for what they have built in years time. and in the struggle they kill the two robbers. One of which was a 20 year old Dutch-Moroccan.
Now we do have a small issue concerning racists like quotes going around about Moroccans. Now I can never say it is right to do so. But friends of the two who incidentally died while trying to rob a jeweller. Say that the woman is a cold hearted killer, a racist even. And that justice department who conducted the investigation says it was an accidental death. Due to the struggle. Just was received by this angry group of people. They do not say stupid he robbed the jeweller, they shouldn’t have. No they protest against the owner of the jeweller for killing their friend.
So in what is going on. We for one cannot own a gun, unless it is for on a shooting range and even then we cannot have the gun at home or in a shop. There has been a case of a home invasion gone bad. Where the owner of the house in a struggle got the robbers screwdriver and stabbed him.
This man had to do a 6year sentence for man slaughter. In other words he was not allowed to defend his home and his property or so that is how we see it.
Another case in which the home and business in home owner had to go to prison was for running after the robber and tackling him down. The struggle that followed had him hitting eh robber. Who fled and reported assault. He runs free while the one getting robbed had to do a 4 years.
It makes one wonder when hearing these cases on what to do when in a situation like this We had made jokes that if we ever get in this mess we need to ask the robber if he would like a cup of tea while we call the police. Or maybe a beer. Should we let them get away with what ever they stole? Something we worked hard for and they just barging and taking what ever they like because they got a gun or knife.
In what way should and can we call it self defence. Are we wrong for wanting to fight for what we have built. Or should we let them rob us and even kill us and get away with it without a fight? Yes that is another side of coin that has gone bad. The killers of another robbery are just walking free after 2 years. What is wrong in that one. Robbing and than when you have everything just kill in cold blood.
It is clear that justice in our very eyes has been starting to show some cracks.
