So okay Wednesday usually was a day I done a prompt from “A girl who writes”. She unfortunately stopped the prompts due to her writing a novel. Hope she is doing well. So I started writing shorts and proses or what ever we want to call them. I had a story up and ready but this one came to me at the last minute. Tipsy Lit’s prompt from Monday was still going in my head and this is my result. But I am the worst at following rules. So not even sure I met them Ha ha shame on me.
Chain of events.
Detective Chester drives his car to an reported murder, while on the radio a DJ is shouting through the speakers the latest of hot news.
“You heard it here first ladies and gents. Mayor Roberts is an adopted, illegitimate child of Senator Roberts. As was reported by an caller by the letters JD. He is a child bron from a rape victim. You heard it right here on QTR101. It is now 5minutes past 1”
Arriving at the scene he finds himself in front of a large private owned home. With a flash of his badge he is let inside and guided to the office.
“Detective, welcome, the name is Comez, sir. I was first on the scene. After the secretary called it in.”
Pulling the cloves over his hands he tiptoes through the rubble of broken glass “Can you tell me anything else Comez?”
“The victim is Jason Dartels, a psychologist, working from his own home. He most likely died of a single stab to the head with a letter opener. According to the secretary there is only one file missing … and that would be… ”
-“Detective Chester? You are here by relieved from the case, please remove yourself from the room” Commander Ballder shouted standing in the opening of the door, leaning over and catching his breath. “You should not even be here, the file missing is that of Mrs Dolores Chester- Diego”
“Mrs Dolores Chester… Diego… ” with his mouth wide open he screams without a sound. His face turning paler than a white sheet of paper, Detective Chester falls to his knees “THAT … THAT IS MY MUM”
The End?
Now what kind of personality would Tipsy Lit have been talking about. Murderess? Sneaky?
You can find her prompt here. Want to know how it works visit here. Pretty sure I am forgetting something again.
Best wishes
Ranting Crow.

Welcome to Prompted (and sorry for my late response). This looks like a great start to something. You used the prompt very well. 🙂
Thank you, the prompt did not let me go.

Welcome to my nest of brain spills.
